Malak Reda receives degree of Doctor of Business
Administration with distinction
On
July 5, Ms. Malak Reda received her degree of
Doctor of Business Administration. The title of
her dissertation was: "Performance of Egyptian Commercial Banks (1995-2003): An Application of Data Envelopment Analysis and Malmquist Productivity Index".
That she did an excellent job is proven by the
fact that she graduated with distinction. Ms.
Reda's supervisor was Prof. Eno L. Inanga. The
defense committee consisted of Prof. dr. E.J. de
Bruijn, Dr. B.W. Scheider and Prof. F.Y.

thesis about "B2B Digital Marketplaces:
Factors Affecting the Adoption Decision in

Brook: Doctor of Business Administration with
Distinction
On
Thursday August 31, Jacques Brook received his Doctoral
degree after he passed with distinction. He defended his thesis
on Strategic Reorientation of Industrial R&D
Towards Commercial Objectives very successfully.
He did a thoroughly and in depth qualitative
research. His promoters were Prof. Dr. E.J. de
Bruijn and Prof. Dr. E. McDonough. The defense
committee existed of Prof. Dr. L. Feijs, Prof.
Dr. S. de Boer, Prof. Dr. J. van Dalen (member
of the Board of Doctoral Degree Studies) and

PhD degree result from cooperation between MSM
and UM
On Thursday
June 29, the PhD defense of Mr. Mohamed
Wahdan took place at the University of
Maastricht (UM). The title of his dissertation
was: "Automatic Formulation of the
Auditor's Opinion". This PhD degree was the
first result of the cooperation between
Maastricht School of Management and the
University of Maastricht.

the opening of the new academic year, Prof.
R.S.J. Tuninga, PhD, launched the new MSM website. The
improved website is symbolic for the way in
which MSM continuously seeks to improve the
services she delivers to stakeholders all over
the world. Together with the website we restyled
the newsletter. The redesign of our website and
newsletter are important steps towards the new
MSM house style.
